Light trace - pinhole photo project

Light Trace

The "Light Trace" project is a unique perspective on the art of photography, combining two techniques—pinhole photography and direct paper photography.

What is pinhole photography:

Pinhole is a distinctive technique based on using a simple camera without a lens, known as a pinhole camera. Instead of lenses, a small aperture (pinhole) is used in such a camera, allowing light to pass through and penetrate the photosensitive material, creating an image. This technique has its own unique features, producing soft, unfocused images with deep tonal gradations.

Project implementation:

The photographs were taken using a handmade pinhole camera, which is essentially a cardboard box measuring 15x15 cm. The process involves not only capturing the images but also manual development in the photo lab. The photos are taken on old soviet photo paper, which gives each picture character and uniqueness and makes the process unpredictable.
